Saint Paul Better Ballot Campaign Petitioning Events

Following is the current list of events where you can help collect petition signatures for the Saint Paul Better Ballot Campaign. We have already collected 7,168 signatures! Pass our petition around at a local event and help spread the word about the campaign to your neighbors.   • June 10, District 7 Planning Council Annual Pary: Located at the corner of Charles & Dale; look for the big tent. Every year, when District 7 elects new Board Members, we they celebrate with a big party. With free food, music, prizes, and community information, it is a great opportunity to get out with your neighbors and spread awareness about the Better Ballot Campaign.

  • June 11, Great Energy Bicycle Festival: St. Paul Lowertown Criterium: Planning to attend this fun event already? Or just looking for something to do in the warm weather? Wear -or get- your orange Better Ballot Campaign shirt

    4:00 PM – Expo opens
    4:00 PM – Party in the Park featuring the Summit Live Music Stage
    5:20 PM – Women's Pro/Elite Race - 60 minutes
    6:30 PM – Hoigaard's Tour de Kids
    7:05 PM – Men's Pro/Elite Race - 60 minutes
    9:00 PM – Expo closes

  • June 12, 5-8PM, West 7th Business Association: A member of the W7BA, or interested in joining? This social event will be at the Summit Brewery, with the theme of 'A Taste of West Seventh." Food options include: Italian, American, Chinese, Mediterranean, Thai, African, Sub-Saharan, Bar-BQ, steak houses, sandwhch shops and more.Circulate our petition to gather more public support for IRV and/or pass out literature about the campaign.

    COST: Free for W7BA members, $10 for non-members (admission may be applied towards membership). Contact: Chris Hawley at 651-696-9096 for more details about the fling!

  • June 15, 12-5PM, Sommerfest Picnic: at 301 Summit Ave. Come for food, entertainment and carriage rides at the Germanic-American Institute, and pass around an IRV petition or literature. COST: Free

  • June 20-21, Twin Cities Jazz Festival: Mears Park. Hand out IRV literature and enjoy great local artists.

  • YOUR house of worship - Share IRV with your faith community between or after services
  • Como Park Lakeside Pavilion – Talk to people as they walk by or take a lap around the lake.
  • Corner of Grand and Victoria – High foot traffic area and fun shops when you need a break.
  • Local sporting events - bring a petition with to a soccer or baseball game! Collect signatures 30 minutes before and as the game finishes
