FairVote Minnesota Seeks Creative Writer

FairVote Minnesota is seeking a versatile, creative, politically savvy wordsmith to provide ongoing communications expertise on a part-time, freelance basis.
We need a writer whos passionate about democracy reform and is adept at galvanizing voters, elected officials, and donors. Working as part of a small communications team, the ideal candidate will be ready to write and/or edit:
- frequent e-newsletters
- media releases and press statements
- op-eds and commentaries (ghostwriting)
- grant proposals and funding appeals
- social media updates
- promotional brochures and other materials
Were looking for someone who understands the political landscape and can devote 10-20 hours per week to producing crisp, engaging copy about all things Ranked Choice Voting. The ability to work quickly is a must; experience editing the work of other writers is a plus.
The writer will work from home but be expected to attend weekly communications team meetings. Hourly rate is negotiable.
