Coming to a polling place near you: instant runoffs

City of Sarasota voters can opt to be among the first jurisdictions in Florida to institute the instant runoff, in the November election.  A campaign by the Sarasota Coalition for Instant Runoff Elections has gathered more than the necessary 3,079 signatures to put the question on the ballot.
