Tonight, Tuesday August 7, marks the annual celebration of National Night Out in neighborhoods throughout St. Paul. Share some lemonade with your neighbors and tell them why you support Instant Runoff Voting. Wear your orange IRV shirt or sticker, bring some petitions to get signed and tell everyone to check out the lastest news at the campaign website, www.betterballotcampaign.org. The website lists some of the larger night out gatherings in town, many featuring free treats, music, speakers and indoor venues http://stpaul.betterballotcampaign.org/node/828. Better Ballot Campaign Coverage - We Are Everywhere The Star Tribune's Editorial Board tells it so much better than we can - check out the recent op-ed supporting the St. Paul Better Ballot Campaign and explaining how IRV empowers voters. The Minnesota Monitor and the St. Paul Legal Ledger joined the pro-IRV chorus, too. Three of Minnesota's four party leaders agree that IRV would improve elections in St. Paul. Petitioning Update The petition signatures keep coming in – we have reached the legal requirement and and we are now building a cushion to be sure the petition is certified!
