Mon, Apr 21 at 7:00 pm - IRV Public Hearing

Apr 21 2008 - 7:00pm
Apr 21 2008 - 9:00pm

Saint Paul's
Charter Commission will hold another public meeting regarding an amendment to
provide for Instant Runoff Voting in city elections on Monday, April 21.

The Charter Commission has invited IRV opponents, the
Minnesota Voters Alliance, to testify.

We need to turn out supporters and debunk the false
claims against IRV made by the Voters Alliance.

A large number of supporters turned out to the first
public hearing on March 24th
and we need the same show of support at this
hearing.

If you couldn't attend the first meeting, please attend
this one. The commissioners need to be convinced of community support and the
best way to do that is have a lot of supporters at the meeting.

Former Mayor George Latimer will be there to provide lead
testimony and let the Charter Commission know why he thinks IRV is good for the
City of Saint Paul.

Here are the details:

Date: April 21, 2008

Time: 7:00 pm

Place: BattleCreek Creek Community Center. 75 South Winthrop. Map.

If you can't attend, please send a message of support before
Monday the 24th to:
