Resolution for Precinct Caucuses
Minnesota's major political parties hold precinct caucuses on Tuesday March 7 2006 starting at 7 PM. This is an opportunity for you to advocate for better voting methods by introducing the attached resolution. Doing so informs your neighbors about the possibility of improving our democracy through Instant Runoff Voting. It also helps move your party toward officially supporting this change. If the resolution is approved by your precinct, let us know at info@fairvotemn.org.
MCCL is just plain wrong about Instant Runoff Voting
The anti-abortion group, Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL) has circulated a questionnaire to candidates for local office this autumn. Two of the eleven questions are unrelated to pro-life issues. The last question begins with a one-paragraph diatribe against the advanced voting method known as Instant Runoff Voting. The paragraph closes with "For these reasons, MCCL opposes instant run-off voting, and then asks the candidate, "Do you oppose instant run-off voting?" Only a "yes" or "no" answer is allowed.

I represent a group of 6th district progressives who are working on the voting irregularities in the 6th. We have met previously with individuals from voting integrity, and a few other non-related groups who are also interested in this issue.

I worked with VoterMN briefly until my health took a turn for the worse but I am back and ready to rumble.

We have the same machines that have been hacked in other states. We have a
conservative Extremist SOS who is also head of the National SOSorganizationn
who has been battling to bring Florida 2000 to Minnesota.

Even our core Democratic strongholds are not safe from this. We have Randy
Kelly a Republican using the Democratic Party as did Coleman, and we have
Coleman and Pawlenty. (Do we all remember the tally irregularities in the
Kelly/Benanav Race?)

And we are being warned that in 2006 the Republican election theft machine

There are lots of us physically challanged folks who cannot run around the state but we can spread the word by work from home and our workplace and do write ourRepresentativess, the media, and our neighbors and families but we
need some support and direction. Our groups set up to do this have wandered off of this path and we need to regroup and fast. Please also send this to other appropriate venues so we can regroup. Thanks!
